As assistant city manager for the hometown team, you will be driving New England’s own tradeshow and event company to new heights. Working with dedicated supervisors and operations support, you will help to position Corporate Events New England to consistently deliver superior results for our customers, partners and employees. A job requiring both a breadth of experience as well as industry depth, you will become the go-to person for sales, warehouse and partners with communications and control on the show floor. You will also develop personnel and administrative skills dealing with scheduling, attendance, payroll and grievances. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Under the direction of the General Manager, assist in the planning, organizing, and executing of specific shows in their respective area. Collaborate with all stakeholders to plan and manage install and dismantle activities within the city or assigned area
2. As assigned, participate in the scheduling of labor, recording labor hours and jobs assigned, and updating payroll records in a timely manner
3. Develop a broad understanding of venue and show site operations, union requirements, and competitor rates, strengths, weaknesses, skills, and abilities
4. Attend client planning meetings as needed and assist with site surveys
5. Develop productive working relationships with local unions and union leadership; assist with grievances and labor agreement adherence
6. Act as a liaison to clients and sales team members to ensure efficient use of available resources
7. Ensure adherence to safety protocols on all job sites; advise General Manager with respect to worker’s compensation risk and maintaining gross margin
8. Other duties as required for on-site management for local Boston union personnel servicing exhibiting companies, including identifying exhibitor needs and extra assistance

You Have:
· 2 – 5 years experience in tradeshow I&D or GSC, construction, supply chain or military.
· Planning & scheduling experience desired
· Attention to detail
· Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn, even if you think you already know it all
· College degree in mechanical, civil or industrial engineering, operations management or industrial relations desired but not required
Compensation package: Yearly FT Salary: 70k-90k - TBD based on experience. 1st review within 180 days, annually thereafter Benefit Package:
· Health Insurance: Harvard Pilgrim, with optional H.S.A Saver program
** Employer will cover ½ of premium for individual plans, ½ of premium for family plans
· Dental Insurance – Blue Cross Blue Shield

· STD – LTD – AD&D, plus $25k in basic life **Employer will pay 100% STD and $25k basic life
· **Employer will pay 100% STD and $25k basic life
**Employee will pay 100% LTD and any additional life over the $25k elected
· Additional AD&D, Critical Care, and Hospital Care optional
**Employee only 100%
· 401k: 3% company match, 50% match between 4-5%, available after the 6-month anniversary
· Two (2) weeks vacation on start, three (3) weeks vacation after the 5th-anniversary date, plus 40 hours PMFL sick time
