Key Responsibilities: Job Title: Fabrication Engineer & Designer Department: Fabrication Reports to: Fabrication Manager Date: August 12, 2024 Summary: Create detailed technical drawings and plans for various projects, working closely with engineers, and project managers. Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD Solidworks software
  • Collaborate with engineers, and project managers to ensure designs meet project requirements
  • Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed
  • Develop and maintain design schedules and project timelines
  • Ensure that all designs are accurate, efficient, and meet all necessary requirements
  • Create a database to organize drawings, while making types of frames easy to find.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve designs
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in CAD technology
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience as a CAD Designer or similar role
  • Proficient in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
