The Pineapple Agency is seeking highly skilled trade professionals for temporary, full-time positions in a world-class fabrication shop. This role is essential for supporting the production needs leading up to and during EDC Las Vegas, starting ASAP and ending on May 20.
Our 45,000 sq ft scenic fabrication shop located in North Las Vegas has a partnership with our long-standing client, Insomniac Events. Part of our partnership is repairing and refurbishing assets that will be deployed at Electric Daisy Carnival LV (EDC). You would be working on stages, decor, costumes, crates, and anything in between.
We seek individuals with expertise in specific areas, including electrical work, scenic carpentry, welding, and scenic painting. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals seeking short-term employment in a dynamic and exciting environment.

What you’ll do:
- Perform various welding techniques to fabricate structural components, frames, and supports for scenic elements.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to accurately fabricate and assemble welded structures according to specifications.
- Select appropriate welding materials and filler metals based on project requirements, material types, and thicknesses.
- Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, degreasing, and removing any contaminants or impurities.
- Use cutting tools to cut and shape metal materials to the required dimensions.
- Ensure precise measurements and proper alignment of metal components to achieve structural integrity and aesthetic quality.
- Maintain high standards of weld quality and craftsmanship by following welding procedures, techniques, and best practices.
- Address any welding defects or imperfections through appropriate corrective measures, such as grinding, re-welding, or reinforcement.
- Prepare and fit metal components for welding by aligning, clamping, and tack welding pieces together.
- Fabricate and assemble complex weld joints, including butt joints, lap joints, fillet welds, and groove welds, with precision and accuracy.
- Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, and scenic artists to integrate welded structures into larger scenic assemblies or production setups.
- Any other related welding duties, as assigned
What you have:
- Mid-to-senior level experience required
- Candidates must possess scenic fabrication experience to be considered.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing demands.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Work Environment
- This position will be expected to be available and commute to the North Las Vegas warehouse, Monday through Thursday, for four 10-hour shifts until May 20, 2024. If needed, this position may be expected to work overtime, evenings, and weekends.
- Local candidates are preferred, but out-of-state applicants will be considered if their experience aligns.
- This position may encounter situations where the ability to freely access all points of a fabrication shop in wide-ranging climates, conditions, and environments is required. Additionally, this role will be expected to be willing and able to work in a physically demanding environment, including operating heavy machinery, being exposed to loud environments, lifting objects ~50lbs+, and fabrication work.
- This position includes complying with Company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols.

Compensation
This position is non-exempt and will pay $25-50 per hour, dependent on experience. This position is eligible for applicable overtime laws. Due to the temporary nature of the position, this position is not benefits-eligible.
