Fabrication Producer – GPJ

Fabrication Project Manager | Exhibit Fabrication | GPJ Our Opportunity GPJ is hiring a Fabrication Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is on-site, requiring you to report to our Las Vegas, NV office location a minimum of 5 days per week. Your Role As the Project Manager for Fabrication, your role revolves around overseeing and coordinating all project-specific activities to ensure we deliver top-notch quality while maximizing our profit margins. Depending on the project, your focus may be primarily on the fabrication aspects or encompass all aspects of the project. In addition to these core responsibilities, here are some other key tasks you handle: You thoroughly analyze and review materials to ensure they are applied correctly and meet the required lead times to comply with project timelines. You expedite sample materials, mock-ups, or models whenever they are requested to keep the project on track. You believe in early collaboration with our Project Manager and Estimators when establishing budgets and timelines, ensuring we have a solid foundation from the start. You’re the driving force behind the project process, making sure everyone adheres to the timelines we’ve set. You provide ongoing support for estimating projects and conduct financial analyses to keep everything on budget. If there are any Change Orders in the project, You estimate them and communicate with budget holders to get their approval before moving forward. You’re responsible for organizing critical project meetings to keep everyone on the same page. You work closely with our Engineering team to provide fabrication drawings to the shop. Managing client inventory is also part of your role, ensuring that any new fabrication properties are correctly added to our inventory. You collaborate with our Purchasing department to procure materials in a timely manner for both fabrication and graphics production. Maintaining accuracy is crucial, so you work closely with our Graphics Production team to ensure that project details align with our expectations. You also liaise with the General Foreman in the shop to determine the crew size needed for each project. For specific project needs, you collaborate with the Lead Foreman to ensure everything runs smoothly. Before any properties leave our facility, you make sure they are correctly identified for shipment and cross-check for accuracy. Your Skills Knowledge of building and construction standards and terminology. Ability to read/understand engineering drawings and knowledge CAD/CAM manufacturing and fabrication. Understanding of Project Management methodology. Familiarity with interior and exterior building materials and fabrication techniques. Familiarity with graphic production techniques and methodology Drive, Determination and Persistence in guiding numerous shop personnel on multiple projects simultaneously. Fabrication Producer — GPJ

Fabrication Producer | Exhibit Fabrication | GPJ Our Opportunity GPJ is hiring Fabrication Producers to join our growing team. This role is on-site, requiring you to report to our Nashville, TN office location a minimum of 5 days per week. Hiring for this role in our Las Vegas facility also. Your Role You are the Fabrication point-of-contact during the initiation phase of a project to Accounts and Integrated Production. During the cycle of the project, you are also their escalation point. You collaborate with Project Managers (PMs) and the Director to monitor the overall health of the fabrication project. You also work on tracking all financials while assisting PMs in this process. Your role involves driving and collaborating with PMs to identify and document Scope creep and/or Change Orders. Additionally, you work closely with PMs and Estimators to identify and document SCORES. It’s crucial for you to maintain a holistic view of the program, serving as an escalation point for Fabrication PMs, Integrated Production, and all other project stakeholders. Your Skills KICKOFF PHASE Meet with Account and IP teams to develop program scope & collaborate in guiding the Client toward program goals Lead meetings with Creative Teams and 3D designers on proposed Fabrication methods utilizing GPJ best practices, automation and proven techniques. Identify primary fabrication locations in conjunction with fabrication leadership. Supply Accounts and IP teams fabrication and logistics workback schedules. Confirm appropriate PMs and shop labor crews. ESTIMATING PHASE Ensure E&F document is current and available for large conferences; work with Estimators, Producers, and PMs to maintain order within the document. Assist in populating required information for estimating and production. Help identify appropriate zones and areas Collaborate with IP and Creative teams to identify fabrication opportunities. Ensure alignment of design/build processes with budgets, timelines, and creative direction. Liaison between Producers, Estimators, Creatives, Technical Directors (TDs), and PMs. Conduct regular open office hours to streamline communication and reduce meetings. Relay critical information to PMs or E&F Document as necessary. Communicate fabrication opportunities to IP teams based on given budget envelopes. Identify instances for subcontracting and maintain an overview of outsourcing activities. Ensure no partners are being overloaded Notify key suppliers of any significant potential needs Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to resolve issues, escalate as needed Support Estimator selling the final estimates and change orders. Utilize the “All In” Fabrication Budget Proposed Sample document as a script to the conversations. Ensure teams have properly allocated budgets for adjacent services needs (Logistics PM, Logistics handling, transportation, supervisors, post show returns and disposals). FABRICATION PHASE Coordinate fabrication deliverables among various facilities and PMs to meet the requirements of large user conferences. Participate in bi-weekly one on one meetings with assigned PM(s) and Directors of Project Management. Monitor PMs’ bandwidth and facilities, redirecting work as scope is defined and approved. With Director of Project Management assign work tasks as per project requirements. Coordinate with Logistics leads to meet workback time lines. SHIPPING / SUPERVISOR / INSTALLATION PHASE Collaborate with Logistics and PMs to manage inbound and outbound fabrication freight, assuring proper manifest documentation and color-coded zone labeling. Collaborate with PMs and IP zone leads to determine supervisor needs. Facilitate supervisor scheduling. Architect an onsite escalation process for PMs and Supervisors. Attend and contribute to daily production meetings as necessary, disseminating pertinent information. Attend installation and dismantle, monitoring installation progress, conducting PM and supervisor check-in meetings and shifting resources as needed. Onsite escalation point for fabrication concerns, questions or redirection of resources. POST SHOW PHASE Identify post-show inventory needs and delegate responsibilities to the appropriate facility PM. Ensure standard operating procedures for labeling items and inventorying post-show materials are followed meticulously. SOP should be items are labeled on the outbound of the show by zone producers with IGL labels supplied by Ops PM. ** items received not in inventory should be inventoried by container (SKID / CRATE) in: CLIENT-SHOW-XX##(SHOW NAME YEAR). Attach photo of package as received, label best guess as to contents Oversee the reconciliation of the FAB budget post-show.
